In this modern age, time is the enemy. There is just not enough time in the day to get things
done and have the quality time that we would like with our families. The average family's day is a lot of
work with little time for play. Bulldogges can be a source of joy for your family
and increase the quality of the time that you spend together. They love to be with their family wherever
they go and make every occasion special. Your Bulldogge can turn a twenty minute play session in the yard into a family
fun event.
Most Bulldogges make excellent travel companions and enjoy watching television with the family. The key to unlocking all this family fun is teaching the dogge interactive play from
a young age. Some dogs have a natural drive and love to chase a ball or Frisbee. We start our puppies off carrying
a Frisbee, then make it interactive by carefully using the Frisbee as a tug a war toy. Once you have the puppy interested
in playing with you the next step is to throw the Frisbee a short distance.
To make things easy throw the Frisbee upside down so that it is easy for the puppy to pick up.
With a little practise you can get the Frisbee to land on edge. This will allow the puppy to catch the Frisbee before
it falls flat. Do not chase the puppy when it has the Frisbee, just cross paths. Praising
and patting your puppy when you take the Frisbee teaches the importance of returning the Frisbee to you. Be careful to minimise the jumping by throwing the Frisbee low with a spin and replace the Frisbee if it has
a sharp edge. Do not use Frisbees that are brittle and that can break into shards.
